Nursery Assistant, Weston-super-Mare, Up to £15 per Hour

Role Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Nursery Assistants to support nurseries across Weston-super-Mare and the surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the nursery team with the day-to-day care, learning and development of children.

• Supporting children with daily routines, activities and play
• Creating a safe, positive and nurturing environment
• Building strong and positive relationships with children, staff and parents
• Supporting learning and development through age-appropriate activities
• Assisting nursery staff with the smooth running of the setting
• Helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment
• Adapting to different nursery settings and working environments
• Following safeguarding procedures and nursery policies
• Working flexibly and demonstrating a positive, reliable and professional approach

Required Skills & Experience

No previous experience is required for this Nursery Assistant role. We welcome applications from beginners, career changers and individuals looking to start a career in childcare and Early Years education.

We are looking for candidates who have:

• A genuine passion for working with children
• A caring, patient and empathetic approach
• A proactive and positive “can-do” attitude
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with children and colleagues
• A willingness to learn and develop within the childcare sector
• The ability to work flexibly across different nursery settings
• A willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS check if not already held
