About the Role

Our client seeks a caring and motivated Nursery Assistant to support their dedicated team in Cardiff . This part-time role is instrumental in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. You will assist Early Years Practitioners in delivering high-quality childcare, engaging with children in play-based learning activities, and supporting their daily routines. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the supervision and care of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Support the planning and delivery of a variety of engaging play-based activities for different age groups.
• Help maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating learning environment.
• Assist children with personal care routines, including feeding, nappy changes, and hygiene.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships.
• Undertake appropriate training as required to develop skills and knowledge in childcare.

Requirements

• Enthusiasm for working with young children and a caring nature.
• Willingness to undertake a Level 2 Childcare qualification if not already held.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Understanding of basic safeguarding principles.
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
