About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Assistant to join their friendly team in Plymouth . This role is essential in providing a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for young children. You will support the Nursery Nurses and Room Leaders in delivering high-quality childcare, engaging children in daily activities, and ensuring their well-being. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the care and supervision of children aged from birth to five years.
• Support the planning and delivery of engaging and age-appropriate activities.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment for all children.
• Assist with meal times, nappy changes, and personal care routines as needed.
• Observe children's development and contribute to their learning records.
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Level 1 or Level 2 qualification in Childcare is preferred, or a willingness to work towards one.
• Previous experience working with children is advantageous.
• A genuine love for working with children and a commitment to their development.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of basic safeguarding principles.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
