About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Nursery Deputy Manager to support the smooth operation of their busy childcare facility in Nottingham . Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of high-quality childcare and education, leading the team, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. This role involves hands-on engagement with children as well as supervisory and administrative duties, contributing to a nurturing and stimulating environment. Key Responsibilities

Assist the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery, deputising in their absence.
Support and guide the nursery team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health, and safety regulations.
Oversee curriculum delivery and children's development, ensuring alignment with the EYFS framework.
Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, addressing queries and concerns effectively.
Contribute to staff recruitment, training, and performance management.

Requirements

A minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
Proven experience in a senior childcare role, such as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner.
Experience in a deputy management role is highly desirable.
Thorough understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and child protection legislation.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
