About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Nursery Deputy Manager to support the smooth operation of their busy childcare facility in Nottingham . Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of high-quality childcare and education, leading the team, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. This role involves hands-on engagement with children as well as supervisory and administrative duties, contributing to a nurturing and stimulating environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery, deputising in their absence.
- Support and guide the nursery team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health, and safety regulations.
- Oversee curriculum delivery and children's development, ensuring alignment with the EYFS framework.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, addressing queries and concerns effectively.
- Contribute to staff recruitment, training, and performance management.
Requirements
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
- Proven experience in a senior childcare role, such as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner.
- Experience in a deputy management role is highly desirable.
- Thorough understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and child protection legislation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
