About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and inspiring Nursery Manager to lead their well-established childcare facility in Newcastle upon Tyne . This is a crucial leadership role responsible for the overall operation, management, and quality of care provided to children. You will be dedicated to creating a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, a deep understanding of early years education, and a passion for fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and staff. You will drive the nursery's continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and promoting an outstanding learning experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Develop and implement a high-quality curriculum that adheres to the EYFS framework, promoting children's holistic development.
- Manage nursery budgets, resources, and operational efficiency to ensure financial sustainability.
- Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with parents, guardians, and the local community.
- Implement and uphold rigorous safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or higher in Childcare, Learning and Development, or equivalent qualification.
- Significant experience in a senior childcare role, with proven management experience.
- In-depth knowledge of the EYFS framework and Ofsted standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, staff, and operational aspects of a childcare setting.
- Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
