About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead their vibrant childcare facility in Aberdeen . You will be instrumental in shaping the educational experience for young children, fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. This role requires a passionate individual committed to upholding the highest standards of childcare and management, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will lead a team of dedicated childcare professionals, working closely with parents and guardians to build strong partnerships that support each child's development journey, contributing to a setting renowned for its quality and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children.
• Develop and implement a high-quality early years curriculum in line with national standards and best practices.
• Manage, mentor, and support a team of childcare practitioners, fostering professional development and effective teamwork.
• Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with parents and families, encouraging active participation in their child's learning.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, safeguarding policies, and health and safety requirements.
• Manage nursery budget, resources, and admissions effectively to ensure operational efficiency and sustainability.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior childcare or nursery management role.
• A recognised qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (e.g., SVQ Level 4/5, BA in Childhood Practice).
• In-depth knowledge of the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence and relevant legislative frameworks.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrable experience in staff supervision, performance management, and budget control.
• A genuine passion for early childhood development and a commitment to safeguarding children.
