Nursery Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Nursery Manager to lead their well-established childcare facility in Newcastle upon Tyne . This is a key leadership position responsible for the day-to-day operation of the nursery, ensuring the delivery of high-quality childcare and education. You will manage a dedicated team, oversee operational efficiency, and foster strong relationships with parents and the local community, driving the nursery's reputation for excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of early years education, and a commitment to creating an inspiring and safe learning environment for every child.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall management and daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulations and policies.
• Lead, motivate, and manage the nursery team, providing support, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
• Develop and implement effective strategies for child development, learning, and care, in line with the EYFS framework.
• Manage budgets, resources, and admissions, ensuring the nursery operates within financial parameters and maintains high standards.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies, promoting parental engagement and community links.
• Ensure that safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures are rigorously implemented and adhered to by all staff.

Requirements

• A minimum of Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education; Level 5 or above is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in a senior role within a nursery or early years setting, with demonstrable management experience.
• In-depth knowledge of the EYFS framework, Ofsted standards, and current best practices in early years education.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• A commitment to providing exceptional childcare and fostering a positive learning environment.
