About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead their vibrant childcare facility in the heart of London . You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and safety for all children. This pivotal role requires a dedicated leader who can foster a nurturing and stimulating environment for both children and staff, contributing significantly to the early years development and well-being of the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all operational aspects of the nursery, including staff management, curriculum delivery, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement engaging educational programs that meet the developmental needs of children aged 0-5.
- Ensure a safe, secure, and hygienic environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety legislation.
- Manage budgets, resources, and parent communications to maintain high operational efficiency and satisfaction.
- Recruit, train, and support a high-performing team of childcare professionals.
- Conduct regular staff performance reviews and facilitate professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Childcare Learning and Development, with a strong preference for a Foundation Degree or higher.
- Proven experience in a senior role within a nursery or early years setting, with a minimum of 2 years in management.
- In-depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and Ofsted standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff effectively and build a positive team culture.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
