Nursery Nurse - SEN Support

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Nursery Nurse with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to join their well-established nursery in Coventry . This rewarding role involves providing tailored support to children with diverse learning needs, ensuring they have the best possible opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential within a mainstream nursery environment. You will work closely with the SEN coordinator, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement individual support plans, fostering an inclusive and accessible learning experience for every child. Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one or small group support to children with identified SEN, implementing tailored learning strategies.
• Assist children with daily routines, personal care, and educational activities, adapting methods to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with the SENCO and external professionals to create and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Observe and document children's progress, reporting on their development and any emerging challenges or successes.
• Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where all children feel valued and encouraged to participate fully.

Requirements

• NVQ/CACHE Level 3 in Early Years Care or equivalent qualification.
• Experience working with children with a range of SEN (e.g., Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties).
• A solid understanding of early years frameworks and SEN legislation .
• Excellent communication and listening skills, with empathy and patience.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build strong relationships with parents and professionals.
