Nursery Practitioner - Baby Room

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and caring Nursery Practitioner to join their specialist baby room team in Reading . This role focuses on providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants, supporting their early developmental milestones through tailored care and play. You will work closely with parents to ensure continuity of care and contribute to the overall high standards of the nursery. Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and education for babies and toddlers, meeting their individual needs.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote sensory exploration and early learning.
• Ensure a safe, hygienic, and stimulating environment for all babies in the room.
• Build positive and supportive relationships with parents, communicating regularly about their child's progress.
• Observe and record children's development, contributing to their learning journals.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain consistent standards of care across the nursery.

Requirements

• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with babies and young toddlers is essential.
• A strong understanding of the EYFS framework, particularly relevant to the birth to three age group.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a gentle and nurturing approach.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
