About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated and caring Nursery Practitioner (Early Years) to join their innovative team, which operates with a hybrid model, offering flexibility for remote work for certain tasks, based in Plymouth . This role focuses on providing exceptional early years education and care for children, fostering their development through engaging activities and a nurturing environment. You will be instrumental in creating a positive learning experience, working collaboratively with colleagues both in-person and remotely to ensure the highest standards of childcare. This is an ideal position for a passionate practitioner who thrives in a dynamic setting and values a balance between on-site engagement and flexible working.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Provide high-quality care and supervision to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress, communicating effectively with parents and team members.
- Contribute to the creation of a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain excellent standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the nursery.
- Participate in team meetings and planning sessions, which may include remote contributions.
Requirements
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
- Previous experience working with children in an early years setting.
- A solid understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, including remotely.
- Adaptability and a proactive approach to childcare duties.
