Nursery Practitioner - Toddler Room

About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated and experienced Nursery Practitioner to join their vibrant toddler room team in Oxford . You will be responsible for providing a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children aged 1-3 years, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and play. This role requires a deep understanding of early childhood development and a passion for creating positive learning experiences. You will work closely with other practitioners and parents to ensure the well-being and progress of each child in your care.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences for toddlers, aligned with the EYFS framework .
• Provide individual care and attention to each child, meeting their unique needs and interests.
• Observe and record children's progress, contributing to their development portfolios.
• Ensure the safety, health, and hygiene of the children at all times, adhering to nursery policies and procedures.
• Engage toddlers in stimulating activities, including sensory play, music, movement, and outdoor exploration.
• Communicate effectively with parents, providing feedback on their child's day and development.

Requirements

• A minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education (e.g., NNEB, NVQ, Cache).
• Previous experience working with toddlers in a nursery setting.
• Sound knowledge of child development principles and the EYFS .
• Excellent communication, observation, and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their growth.
