Nursery Practitioner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join their dedicated team in Reading . You will play a key role in providing a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment for children aged 0-5 years, supporting their learning and development through engaging activities. This position requires a genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to delivering outstanding care. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and guardians to ensure the well-being and progress of each child, contributing to the success of a respected childcare setting in Berkshire .

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care and education to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that foster children’s learning and development, aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Observe and document children's progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with parents.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating learning environment.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, sharing best practices and supporting the overall nursery team.

Requirements

• A minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
• Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting.
• A good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive and positive approach to childcare.
