About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to become part of their established childcare setting in Birmingham . This role involves providing outstanding care and education for children aged 0-5, ensuring a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment. You will play a vital role in fostering children's social, emotional, and educational development through creative and play-based learning experiences, working closely with a team of experienced professionals who are passionate about early childhood development and committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young children and their families, contributing to a setting that values professional growth and collaborative practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and activities based on children's interests and developmental needs, following the EYFS curriculum.
• Observe children's learning, assess their progress, and maintain detailed records, providing feedback to parents and colleagues.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children under your care, adhering to strict safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage children's social and emotional development through supportive interactions.
• Collaborate effectively with other nursery staff, sharing best practices and contributing to a positive team atmosphere.

Requirements

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare or equivalent, with a strong preference for Level 3.
• Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting is essential.
• Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding procedures and the EYFS framework.
• Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to connect with young children.
• A patient, caring, and reliable nature, with a proactive approach to childcare.
