Nursery Room Leader

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and inspiring Nursery Room Leader to manage one of their key rooms within their well-established nursery in Bristol . This role involves leading a team of practitioners, planning and delivering high-quality care and education, and ensuring a stimulating and safe environment for the children within your designated room. You will be instrumental in fostering positive relationships with children and parents, and in driving continuous improvement within the room.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of early years practitioners within a specific room.
• Plan and implement a creative and stimulating curriculum in line with the EYFS framework.
• Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, health, and safety for all children.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress, providing constructive feedback to parents and colleagues.
• Manage resources effectively and maintain excellent standards of room presentation.
• Foster positive and supportive relationships with children, parents, and the wider nursery team.

Requirements

• A minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Room Leader or senior practitioner in an early years setting.
• Thorough understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding legislation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• A passion for early childhood development and a commitment to providing excellent care in Bristol .
