Nursery Room Leader

About the Role

Our client is seeking an inspiring and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join their passionate team in Cambridge . In this vital role, you will be responsible for leading a specific age group room, ensuring a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment that fosters the holistic development of each child. You will guide and support your team of educators, plan and implement engaging curriculum activities based on the EYFS framework, and maintain exceptional standards of care. This position is ideal for an individual with a strong understanding of child development and a commitment to providing outstanding early years education. You will play a key part in creating a positive and inspiring atmosphere for both children and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and inspire a team of nursery practitioners within your assigned room.
• Plan and deliver creative, age-appropriate, and stimulating learning experiences following the EYFS framework.
• Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all children within the room at all times.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress, providing constructive feedback to parents and colleagues.
• Maintain effective communication with parents, building trusting relationships and involving them in their child's learning journey.
• Ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained within the room and associated areas in Cambridge .

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 or above qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Room Leader or in a similar supervisory role within a nursery setting.
• In-depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and safeguarding procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Passion for early childhood education and commitment to child development.
• Ability to motivate and support a team effectively.
