About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Nursery Supervisor to join their dedicated team in Cambridge . In this key role, you will support the Nursery Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the setting, leading a team of practitioners, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality childcare. You will be instrumental in fostering a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for young children, ensuring adherence to the EYFS framework and all relevant regulations. This position is suited for an individual with strong leadership potential, a passion for early childhood education, and a commitment to excellence in childcare practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Nursery Manager in supervising staff and ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Support the implementation of the EYFS curriculum and contribute to curriculum development.
- Ensure the safety, well-being, and developmental needs of all children are met.
- Conduct regular observations and assessments of children's progress, providing feedback.
- Mentor and guide junior members of the childcare team.
- Liaise with parents and guardians, building positive relationships and communicating effectively about their child's progress.
Requirements
- Level 3 or above qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or senior role within a nursery setting.
- Excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and statutory requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare.
