Salary: Up to £38.00 per hour

This role offers the flexibility of a hybrid working pattern, with 3 days spent in the office and 2 days working from home, providing a work-life balance like no other. What you will do:

• – Undertake person-centred Occupational Therapy assessments as per the Care Act 2014.
• – Assess the needs, risks, and outcomes for adults and children with disabilities.
• – Complete moving and handling risk assessments and recommend specialist equipment, adaptations, care technology, and reablement interventions.
• – Support service users and carers to maximise independence and wellbeing.
• – Carry out major adaptation assessments and provide specifications and recommendations.
• – Produce comprehensive Occupational Therapy reports and clinical documentation.
• – Lead and contribute to multidisciplinary assessments and case conferences.
• – Manage and progress a complex caseload within agreed timescales.
• – Liaise with health, housing, social care, voluntary and private sector agencies.
• – Provide advice, guidance and supervision to unqualified staff, newly qualified OTs, and students.
• – Participate in safeguarding investigations and duty functions as required.

Requirements:

• – Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• – HCPC registration.
• – Enhanced DBS.
• – Extensive experience in Occupational Therapy across adult and paediatric social care settings.
• – Experience in assessing for specialist equipment and adaptations.
• – Proficiency in undertaking moving and handling assessments.
• – Knowledge of reablement pathways, assistive technology, the Care Act 2014, and the Children and Families Act 2014.
• – Experience in managing complex caseloads and strong report-writing and communication skills.
• – Ability to work effectively with external agencies and multidisciplinary teams.
• – Understanding of GDPR and electronic case management systems.
• – Ability to prioritise workload and meet service deadlines.
• – Experience within a local authority Occupational Therapy service.
• – Experience in supervising students or junior staff.
• – Experience completing major adaptation assessments.
• – Experience working within integrated health and social care teams.
