About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Office Manager to take charge of their facilities and administrative operations in Reading . This integral role ensures the smooth, efficient, and organised running of the office environment, supporting all staff and departments. You will be responsible for a wide array of duties, from managing supplies and vendor relationships to overseeing health and safety protocols and coordinating office moves or refurbishments. The ideal candidate is a natural leader with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to fostering a positive and productive workplace, managing all aspects of the office with professionalism and initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the office, ensuring a clean, safe, and functional working environment.
- Manage office budgets, including procurement of supplies, equipment, and services.
- Liaise with building management and external vendors for maintenance, repairs, and services.
- Develop and implement office policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate internal and external events, meetings, and staff activities.
- Manage the reception area and front-of-house services, ensuring a professional welcome.
- Supervise administrative support staff and provide guidance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Office Manager or in a similar senior administrative role.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with facilities management software.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations is essential.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
