Job Description
East Stour Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and organised Office Receptionist / Administrator with excellent customer service and communication skills to join our busy, friendly and welcoming school office.
This is aterm-time only position, with flexible working hours available on either afull-time or part-time basis .
The successful candidate will ideally have experience of using a Management Information System (MIS) within an educational setting, although we are equally interested in finding someone with the right attitude, skills and commitment to become an integral part of our school team.
As the first point of contact for our school, you will play a vital role in creating a warm, welcoming and professional environment for our pupils, families, staff and visitors. You will be confident communicating with both adults and children and bring a friendly, approachable and reassuring manner to our busy reception desk.
You will welcome and assist visitors, manage telephone enquiries. You will also have responsibility for a range of important day-to-day school office duties, including attendance, admissions, first aid, maintaining accurate pupil records and supporting the smooth running of the school office.
No two days will be the same. This is a varied and fast-paced role where you will need to be organised, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities while remaining calm and professional under pressure. You will use your initiative, have excellent attention to detail and understand the importance of confidentiality when dealing with pupils, families and sensitive information.
