About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly capable Offshore Installation Engineer to join their project team, primarily based in Oxford , Oxfordshire, with offshore duties. This role is integral to the successful planning, execution, and completion of offshore construction and installation projects within the Oil & Gas sector. You will manage the logistics, safety, and technical aspects of offshore operations, working closely with installation contractors, fabrication yards, and internal engineering teams. The hybrid nature of this role allows for significant onshore project management and planning in our Oxford offices, interspersed with periods offshore supervising critical installation activities. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced engineer to play a key role in delivering complex offshore infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute offshore installation plans, procedures, and schedules.
- Manage offshore construction and installation activities, ensuring safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
- Oversee the work of offshore installation contractors and third-party vendors.
- Conduct offshore site surveys and constructability reviews.
- Manage risks associated with offshore operations and implement mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with engineering, fabrication, and marine assurance teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in offshore installation project management or engineering within the Oil & Gas industry .
- Proven track record in managing complex offshore construction projects.
- Strong understanding of marine operations, heavy lifting, and subsea installation.
- Experience with relevant project management software and marine assurance principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
