Offshore Installation Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and safety-focused Offshore Installation Manager to oversee operations on their North Sea platform located near Milton Keynes . This critical leadership role demands exceptional management skills, a deep understanding of offshore oil and gas operations, and an unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of the entire crew. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the facility, ensuring all activities are conducted in compliance with stringent safety regulations and operational efficiency standards. This position requires regular rotation offshore and is not a remote role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of offshore platform operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, health, and environmental performance.
• Develop, implement, and enforce operational procedures and safety protocols across the installation.
• Oversee the activities of all personnel on board, including operations, maintenance, and support staff.
• Manage the platform budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost control.
• Act as the primary point of contact for onshore management, regulatory bodies, and emergency response teams.
• Conduct regular safety audits and drills, fostering a proactive safety culture throughout the workforce.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in offshore oil and gas operations management, with a proven track record as an OIM or similar senior offshore role.
• Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities, particularly under pressure.
• In-depth knowledge of offshore safety regulations, HSE management systems, and emergency procedures.
• Relevant offshore certifications (e.g., OPITO approvals, IMCA guidelines).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage complex logistics and personnel rotations effectively.
