Offshore Wind Farm Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Offshore Wind Farm Operations Manager to oversee the efficient and safe operation of their wind farm assets based out of Bristol . This senior role involves managing a dedicated team of technicians and engineers, ensuring optimal performance of the wind turbines, and coordinating maintenance activities to maximise energy generation and minimise downtime. You will be responsible for the strategic planning and execution of operational strategies, adhering to the highest safety standards in the demanding offshore environment , and contributing to the continued success of renewable energy generation in the UK .

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance (O&M) of the offshore wind farm, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of offshore technicians and site engineers, fostering a strong safety culture.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, maintenance schedules, and asset management plans.
• Oversee the procurement of services and equipment, managing contracts with third-party suppliers.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in the offshore sector .
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyse operational data, and report on performance to senior management.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (7+ years) in operations management within the renewable energy sector , specifically offshore wind.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing technical teams in challenging environments.
• In-depth knowledge of offshore wind turbine technology, O&M practices, and safety protocols.
• Strong understanding of asset management, risk management, and contract negotiation.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Marine) or a related field.
