Offshore Wind Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Offshore Wind Project Manager to lead critical projects within their expanding portfolio. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the UK. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of offshore wind farm development and construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. Working closely with internal teams, external contractors, and key stakeholders, you will navigate the complexities of offshore environments and contribute to the growth of renewable energy capacity. This role demands strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the offshore wind sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of offshore wind projects, from early-stage development and consenting through to construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
• Lead and motivate multi-disciplinary project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Manage contracts and relationships with key suppliers, fabricators, and installation contractors.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
• Effectively communicate project progress, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with a significant portion dedicated to the offshore wind or large-scale energy infrastructure sector.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-million pound projects on time and within budget.
• In-depth understanding of offshore wind technology, supply chains, consenting processes, and marine operations.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) and proficiency with project management software.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
