Offshore Wind Turbine Technician (Senior)

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Offshore Wind Turbine Technician to join their critical maintenance team, primarily supporting operations near Leeds but involving significant offshore deployment. You will be responsible for the inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of complex wind turbine systems, ensuring maximum uptime and operational efficiency in challenging marine environments. This role requires a high level of technical proficiency, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated offshore crew. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and fault diagnosis on offshore wind turbines.
• Conduct repairs and replacements of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
• Utilize specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure all work is carried out in strict accordance with health and safety procedures , including working at height and in confined spaces.
• Document all maintenance activities, findings, and parts used accurately in the asset management system.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians and assist with training initiatives.

Requirements

• Significant experience as an Offshore Wind Turbine Technician or a related field such as electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems.
• Valid GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) certifications, including Working at Height and Sea Survival.
• Strong understanding of wind turbine technology and associated control systems.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance.
• Ability to work effectively offshore, including in challenging weather conditions.
