About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Offshore Wind Turbine Technician to join their operations team serving the wind farms off the coast near Plymouth . In this critical role, you will be responsible for the planned maintenance, inspection, and repair of wind turbines to ensure maximum operational efficiency and energy output. Working in a challenging offshore environment requires a high level of technical expertise, a commitment to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated team. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on wind turbine systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
• Diagnose and repair faults and failures in wind turbines, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Conduct detailed inspections of turbine structures, blades, and associated equipment.
• Respond to turbine alarms and emergencies, performing necessary corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs using digital systems.
• Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental procedures specific to offshore work.

Requirements

• Relevant technical qualification (e.g., HND, NVQ Level 3) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Wind Turbine Technology.
• Proven experience as a wind turbine technician, preferably offshore.
• Strong understanding of wind turbine systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic principles.
• Valid GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) and ideally Advanced Rescue Training (ART).
• Ability to work at heights and in challenging weather conditions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
