On-Site Installation Technician

About the Role

Our client is looking for a diligent On-Site Installation Technician to join their team in Cambridge . This hands-on role is critical for the successful deployment of equipment and systems at various customer locations. You will be responsible for the physical setup, configuration, and initial testing of installations, ensuring they meet all technical specifications and client expectations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent practical skills, a methodical approach to problem-solving, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service throughout Cambridgeshire . This position requires regular travel to different sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the physical installation of equipment and systems according to detailed instructions and diagrams.
• Perform system checks and initial configuration to ensure proper functionality post-installation.
• Troubleshoot any immediate issues that arise during the installation process.
• Provide basic guidance to end-users on system operation after installation.
• Maintain accurate records of installation activities, including site reports and parts used.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with relevant standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a technical installation or hands-on maintenance role.
• Ability to work with tools and equipment effectively and safely.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently on site.
• Good communication skills for interacting with clients and colleagues.
• A full UK driving license and a willingness to travel within the Cambridge area.
