About the Role
Our client is looking for a motivated and technically proficient On-Site Support Technician to join their team serving clients in and around Norwich, Norfolk . This role is critical for providing hands-on technical assistance for IT systems, hardware, and software issues directly at customer locations or within the company's local office. You will be responsible for diagnosing problems, performing repairs, and ensuring that all technology infrastructure is operating smoothly and efficiently. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys problem-solving in a practical, on-site setting and contributing to excellent client service in the Norwich area.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to on-site service requests, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues for end-users.
- Perform installations, configurations, and upgrades of computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Conduct preventative maintenance checks on IT equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Assist with network troubleshooting and connectivity issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
- Manage and maintain an inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
- Provide basic training and support to users on new hardware and software.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an on-site IT support or technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of PC hardware, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and common software applications.
- Familiarity with basic networking principles and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Must hold a valid UK driving license and have access to a reliable vehicle for local travel.
