You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our store activities by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
As the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will be constantly looking for ways to improve service in your store through on the job coaching and feedback.
With your guidance, your store will always remain a safe place to work and shop.
Responsibilities
- Know and serve customers with passion and pride, delivering great natural service.
- Actively encourage customers to provide feedback on their shopping trip through completing the “have your say” survey.
- Work across all areas of the store including online, the tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines to ensure tasks are completed to meet the needs of customers.
- Apply training to ensure work is carried out safely.
- Take part in seasonal, community and charity events to create a great inclusive atmosphere.
- Be knowledgeable about the store’s performance and understand the part you play to deliver profit.
- Be yourself, live the company values, make everyone feel welcome and follow policies.
- Clock in and out at the start and end of each shift to ensure accurate pay for hours worked.
- Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment where available to keep yourself, colleagues, and customers safe.
- Follow the Think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products to all customers.
- Respond quickly to assistance calls or interventions on self-service checkouts and explain actions to the customer.
- Work in a clean, tidy and organized manner with aisles kept clear of congestion.
- May be required to run the shift in the absence of the Shift Leader and Store Manager at certain times.
- Follow all training to keep yourself, others and the store safe and compliant.
- If the store has a Post Office Local, duties will include day-to-day Post Office operations and you may be required to undertake a Post Office Financial and criminal conviction background check; if these checks fail, the job offer may be withdrawn.
