About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and analytical Online Assessment Specialist to join their fully remote team, supporting educational initiatives across the Sheffield area and beyond. This role is dedicated to the design, development, implementation, and analysis of effective online assessments that accurately measure student learning outcomes. You will collaborate with educators and curriculum designers to create assessments that are valid, reliable, and aligned with learning objectives. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of psychometrics, assessment design principles, and experience with various online assessment platforms, working autonomously within a distributed team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and refine online assessment instruments, including quizzes, tests, and projects.
• Ensure assessments are aligned with learning objectives and curriculum standards.
• Analyze assessment data to provide insights into student performance and program effectiveness.
• Collaborate with educators to develop assessment strategies and scoring rubrics.
• Manage and maintain the integrity and security of online assessment platforms and data.
• Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in educational assessment and online evaluation methods.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Educational Measurement, Assessment, Statistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in assessment design and development, particularly in online environments.
• Strong understanding of psychometric principles, reliability, and validity.
• Proficiency with assessment authoring tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
