About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and passionate Online Mathematics Tutor to join their expanding remote education team based in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role focuses on providing personalised one-on-one and small group tuition to students of various ages, helping them to build confidence and excel in mathematics. You will leverage digital tools and platforms to create engaging and effective learning experiences, tailored to individual student needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator to work flexibly from anywhere, making a significant impact on student academic achievement in a fully remote capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver tailored mathematics lessons to students online, adapting content to suit individual learning paces and styles.
• Provide constructive feedback and clear explanations to help students overcome challenges and improve their understanding of mathematical concepts.
• Utilise interactive online whiteboards, educational software, and other digital resources to enhance lesson delivery.
• Monitor student progress, track learning outcomes, and communicate regularly with students and/or parents regarding academic development.
• Stay up-to-date with curriculum changes and best practices in online mathematics education.

Requirements

• A strong academic background in Mathematics or a related field, ideally with a degree in Mathematics, Education, or a STEM discipline.
• Previous experience in tutoring or teaching mathematics, preferably in an online setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and patiently.
• Proficiency in using online collaboration tools, video conferencing software, and digital learning platforms.
• A dedicated and quiet workspace with a reliable high-speed internet connection.
