Online Tutor - A-Level Physics

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly knowledgeable and dedicated Online Tutor to provide specialist support in A-Level Physics to students across the UK. This fully remote position requires an individual passionate about science education and adept at using digital platforms to deliver engaging and effective one-to-one or small group tutoring sessions. You will be instrumental in helping students grasp complex physics concepts, prepare for their examinations, and build confidence in their abilities, contributing to their academic success from the comfort of their own homes or yours, within a flexible online teaching environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, personalized online tutoring sessions in A-Level Physics, adapting to individual student learning styles and needs.
• Develop and utilize effective teaching materials and digital resources to explain complex physics concepts clearly and concisely.
• Provide constructive feedback on student work, identify areas for improvement, and set appropriate homework assignments.
• Monitor student progress and provide regular reports to students and/or parents regarding attainment and areas for development.
• Maintain accurate records of sessions, student progress, and any administrative tasks related to tutoring.
• Stay up-to-date with the A-Level Physics curriculum and examination requirements.

Requirements

• A degree in Physics or a related scientific discipline.
• Proven experience tutoring or teaching Physics at A-Level or equivalent.
• Excellent understanding of the A-Level Physics syllabus and assessment criteria.
• Proficiency with online tutoring platforms, video conferencing tools, and digital learning resources.
• Strong communication, patience, and the ability to explain complex scientific concepts effectively to students.
