Online Tutor - Computer Science

About the Role

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Online Tutor specializing in Computer Science to join their expanding digital education platform, serving students across the UK. This remote role involves providing one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions to students from secondary school through to undergraduate level. You will leverage your expertise to explain complex concepts clearly, help students with assignments, and prepare them for exams. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective online tutoring sessions in Computer Science topics, including programming, algorithms, data structures, and software development.
• Assess student understanding and tailor teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs and goals.
• Provide constructive feedback on student work, assignments, and exam preparation strategies.
• Utilise various digital tools and platforms to create interactive and effective learning experiences.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with students and parents regarding performance.
• Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in Computer Science and educational technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring in Computer Science.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, and JavaScript.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, adapted for an online setting.
• Reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup for remote work.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
