Online Tutor - Computer Science

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and engaging Online Tutor specializing in Computer Science to deliver virtual tutoring sessions to students across various educational levels, from secondary school to university preparatory. This role is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. You will be responsible for providing personalized academic support, helping students understand complex computer science concepts, prepare for exams, and develop their programming skills. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one and small group online tutoring sessions in Computer Science, covering topics such as programming, algorithms, data structures, and software development.
• Develop customized learning plans based on individual student needs, learning styles, and academic goals.
• Utilize online teaching platforms and tools effectively to create interactive and engaging virtual learning experiences.
• Assess student understanding through questioning, quizzes, and practical exercises, providing constructive feedback.
• Help students prepare for exams, assignments, and projects related to computer science curricula.
• Maintain clear communication with students and parents regarding progress, scheduling, and learning objectives.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. A Master's degree or teaching qualification is a plus.
• Demonstrated expertise in core computer science concepts and programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++).
• Previous experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring, preferably in an online setting.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
