About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective and interactive online tutoring sessions for English Language and Literature students.
• Develop personalised learning plans to address individual student strengths and areas for improvement.
• Explain complex literary concepts, linguistic analysis techniques, and essay writing skills clearly.
• Provide constructive feedback on essays, comprehension tasks, and creative writing assignments.
• Utilise digital tools and resources to create an engaging and dynamic online learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding progress, goals, and session outcomes.

Requirements

• A degree in English Literature, English Language, or a related humanities field.
• Experience teaching or tutoring English Language and Literature, particularly at GCSE and A-Level.
• Thorough knowledge of UK English Language and Literature curricula and examination requirements.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and digital literacy skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methodologies for an online format and manage virtual classroom dynamics.
