Online Tutor - Mathematics

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Online Tutor with expertise in Mathematics to join their expanding virtual learning platform, serving students globally but based operationally around Nottingham . You will provide personalised one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions, helping students from various academic levels to build confidence and master mathematical concepts. This is a flexible, remote-first role offering the chance to make a significant impact on students' academic journeys from the convenience of your own home, contributing to accessible and high-quality online education.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective online mathematics tutoring sessions to students at various levels (e.g., GCSE, A-Level, University preparatory).
• Develop personalised learning plans based on student needs, strengths, and weaknesses, adapting content as required.
• Utilise various online teaching tools and platforms to create interactive and dynamic learning experiences.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback to students on their progress and offer strategies for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of student sessions, progress, and any required reporting.

Requirements

• A degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience as a tutor or teacher, with a strong track record of improving student outcomes in mathematics.
• Excellent understanding of various mathematics curricula and examination standards.
• Proficiency in using online communication and collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, virtual whiteboards).
• Exceptional communication, patience, and interpersonal skills suitable for remote student interaction.
