About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Online Tutor specializing in Secondary Mathematics to join their expanding educational support team. This role is perfect for a passionate educator who excels at making complex mathematical concepts accessible and engaging for students aged 11-16. You will provide personalized, one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions, both online and occasionally in-person, helping students build confidence and achieve academic success. Working in a flexible hybrid model, you will contribute to a supportive learning environment that prioritizes student growth and comprehension.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality online and in-person tutoring sessions for secondary school mathematics curriculum.
- Develop and implement tailored learning plans to address individual student needs and learning gaps.
- Assess student understanding through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and development.
- Stay updated on curriculum changes and best practices in mathematics education.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification is advantageous.
- Proven experience in teaching or tutoring secondary school mathematics.
- Familiarity with online tutoring platforms and educational technology tools.
- Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
