Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Online Tutor specializing in STEM Subjects to join their educational team in Sunderland . This role involves delivering high-quality, engaging online tutoring sessions to secondary school students, helping them to grasp complex concepts and achieve their academic potential. You will work from a dedicated study space, leveraging our digital platforms to provide personalized instruction and support. You will be based within the Sunderland area, contributing directly to the local educational community.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective online tutoring sessions in subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology via video conferencing.
• Develop personalized learning plans for students based on their individual needs and academic goals.
• Provide constructive feedback on student work and progress, and track student performance.
• Answer student questions and explain complex STEM concepts in an accessible and understandable manner.
• Collaborate with the academic team to ensure curriculum consistency and pedagogical effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant STEM field (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry).
• Previous experience (2+ years) in teaching or tutoring, preferably at the secondary school level.
• Strong understanding of the relevant national curriculum for STEM subjects .
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in using online tutoring platforms and educational software.
• Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
