About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Operational Excellence Engineer to join their team in Sheffield, South Yorkshire . This role is focused on driving continuous improvement initiatives across all operational facets of the business. You will leverage industrial engineering principles, Lean methodologies, and Six Sigma tools to identify and eliminate waste, enhance efficiency, and elevate overall performance. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented professional with a passion for process improvement and a strong ability to engage with teams at all levels to foster a culture of excellence in a manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement projects.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to analyze processes, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
- Develop and implement metrics and dashboards to track operational performance and progress towards goals.
- Conduct value stream mapping, process audits, and root cause analyses to identify improvement opportunities.
- Train and mentor employees on operational excellence tools and techniques.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving throughout the organization in Sheffield .
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in operational excellence , continuous improvement, or industrial engineering .
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required; Black Belt preferred.
- Proven ability to lead projects and drive change in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
