Operational Excellence Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Operational Excellence Manager to implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives within their Portsmouth operations. This role is central to enhancing efficiency, quality, and overall performance across various operational functions. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement, developing and implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of excellence throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of lean methodologies and a passion for optimizing processes to achieve superior business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of operational excellence programs using methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
• Identify, analyze, and prioritize areas for process improvement across different departments.
• Develop and deliver training on operational excellence principles and tools to staff at all levels.
• Monitor and report on the progress of improvement initiatives, ensuring measurable results.
• Facilitate workshops and cross-functional teams to drive problem-solving and innovation.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement and empower employees to contribute to process enhancements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in operational excellence , process improvement, or a similar role.
• Demonstrated expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate teams at all levels of the organization.
• Relevant certification (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Black Belt) is highly desirable.
