Operations Administrator
Location: Caythorpe Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm Overtime: Paid at 1.5 times the standard hourly rate Job type: Full-time
Role Overview We are seeking an organised and proactive Operations Administrator to support the daily operation of our Caythorpe facility. This is a varied role combining weighbridge duties, purchasing administration, waste documentation, vehicle coordination and general operational support.
The successful candidate will have strong administrative and IT skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a busy operational environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Operating the site weighbridge, including accurately weighing vehicles in and out Recording vehicle, customer, supplier, material and tonnage information Completing and checking weighbridge tickets and associated documentation Processing and coordinating purchase orders and purchase-order approvals Preparing, checking and maintaining export paperwork Accurately recording key information relating to incoming and outgoing waste streams Ensuring waste-transfer documentation is complete, accurate and properly filed Maintaining accurate records for material intake, processing and offtake Supporting the coordination of bulk and export vehicle movements Liaising with drivers, transport providers, customers, suppliers and site personnel Monitoring planned vehicle movements and communicating delays or operational issues Entering, maintaining and reviewing information using Power BI, Microsoft Excel and SICOM Producing reports and supplying accurate operational information when required Maintaining electronic and paper-based filing systems Supporting invoice queries and checking information against purchase orders and weighbridge records Assisting the operational management team with general administrative duties Following company procedures and all relevant environmental, health and safety requirements Undertaking other reasonable administrative duties in line with the Operations Administrator positionSkills and Experience Essential
Previous experience in an administrative or operational support role Strong IT skills, including competence in Microsoft Excel Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Strong organisational and time-management skills Confident verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritise competing tasks in a busy working environment Ability to work independently and as part of an operational team Experience maintaining accurate records and processing detailed documentationDesirable
Previous experience operating a weighbridge Experience within the waste, recycling, logistics or transport industry Experience coordinating bulk or export vehicle movements Knowledge of export documentation and waste-transfer paperwork Experience processing purchase orders and resolving associated queriesPersonal Attributes
