Operations Director - North East

About the Role

Our client is looking for a strategic Operations Director to lead their operations in the North East region, primarily focusing on their facilities near Sunderland . Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional operational strategies to meet company objectives and enhance performance.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and quality standards are met across all regional activities.
• Lead and mentor a remote-based team of operational managers and staff, fostering a positive and results-driven work culture.
• Manage regional budgets, P&L responsibilities, and resource allocation to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement best practices in operational management, supply chain, and process improvement.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data, and report on regional operational performance to senior management.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior operations leadership role, such as Operations Director or Senior Operations Manager.
• Demonstrated success in managing operations across multiple sites or a broad geographical area.
• Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and P&L accountability.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead remote teams.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement methodologies, and operational reporting.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive results in a remote work environment.
