About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and visionary Operations Director to lead their operational functions based in Southampton . This senior leadership role is responsible for defining and executing the company's operational strategy, ensuring maximum efficiency, productivity, and profitability. You will oversee all aspects of operations, including supply chain, logistics, and customer service, while leading and developing a high-performing operational team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in driving operational excellence and managing significant budgets within a competitive industry.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies aligned with the company's long-term vision.
Oversee and optimize all day-to-day operations, including production, logistics, and quality control.
Manage the operational budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial performance.
Lead, mentor, and develop the operational management team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement across all operational areas.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and industry-specific regulations.

Requirements

Extensive experience (7+ years) in a senior Operations Director or equivalent leadership role.
Demonstrated success in strategic planning and execution of operational initiatives.
Strong financial acumen and experience managing large operational budgets.
Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Proven ability to drive operational efficiency and implement process improvements.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
