About the Role
Our client seeks a strategic and results-oriented Operations Director to lead their manufacturing operations in Manchester . This senior leadership role demands a visionary approach to optimizing all aspects of the manufacturing lifecycle, from supply chain management to final product delivery. You will be responsible for setting operational strategy, managing budgets, and ensuring the highest levels of efficiency, productivity, and profitability. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's operational strategy to achieve business objectives and growth targets.
- Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient resource allocation and workflow management.
- Manage departmental budgets, P&L responsibilities, and capital expenditure planning.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, implementing Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, clients, and regulatory bodies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within manufacturing.
- Proven expertise in supply chain management, logistics, and production planning.
- Demonstrated success in implementing large-scale operational improvements and cost-saving measures.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, decision-making, and leadership skills.
- Experience working within a large, complex manufacturing organization based in Manchester .
