Operations Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Operations Engineer to join their team based in Manchester . This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our client's manufacturing facilities. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing processes that optimize production, enhance safety, and improve overall operational performance. This position requires a hands-on approach, working directly with production teams to solve complex challenges and drive continuous improvement in a dynamic industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize day-to-day manufacturing operations and production processes.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and implement best practices in workplace safety.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, collaborating with maintenance and engineering teams.
• Conduct performance analysis and prepare reports on key operational metrics.
• Lead or participate in projects focused on process upgrades and system enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in operations, manufacturing, or industrial engineering.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with process optimization, facility layout, and production planning.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities to engage with operational teams.
