Operations Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and analytical Operations Engineer to join their team in Belfast . You will be responsible for analyzing existing systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategic solutions to boost productivity and reduce operational costs. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current production lines and operational workflows to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Develop and implement process improvements using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Design layout changes and workflow optimizations to improve material handling and production efficiency.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and management teams to ensure successful implementation of engineered solutions.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency and cost savings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in an operations engineering or process improvement role.
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, VSM).
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis software.
• Experience with CAD software for process and layout design is desirable.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to present findings and proposals effectively.
