About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Engineer to join their team in Brighton . This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing and logistical processes to enhance overall operational efficiency and productivity. You will be responsible for analyzing current systems, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing data-driven solutions to improve throughput, reduce waste, and ensure high-quality standards. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, a solid understanding of Lean principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments to drive impactful process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current operational processes to identify inefficiencies, waste, and opportunities for improvement.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing techniques, including Kaizen events and Value Stream Mapping, to enhance workflow.
- Design and optimize production layouts, material handling systems, and workstation configurations.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for corrective action.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to implement process changes and ensure successful adoption.
- Conduct time studies and ergonomic assessments to improve efficiency and safety.
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in operations engineering or process improvement.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
- Proficiency in data analysis and process modeling software.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
