MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit an Operations Manager for a leading Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) in Croydon.

This role will involve overseeing the day-to-day operation of the facility, providing visible leadership across the site and leading Shift Team Leaders and operational teams to deliver safe, compliant and high-performing operations.

As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Providing visible leadership across the site, leading Shift Team Leaders and operational teams
• Championing a safety-first culture and driving employee engagement
• Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the facility, monitoring KPIs and identifying improvements
• Enhancing efficiency, reliability and cost-effectiveness across operations
• Developing and motivating your team, creating an environment where people can thrive
• Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

• Extensive people management experience within a large operational department or region at a senior level
• Practical experience of implementing and embedding corporate management systems
• Strong knowledge of the waste, energy recovery or related industries
• A proven track record of leading, motivating and developing high-performing teams
• ONC/HNC/HND qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline, plus a full UK driving licence

The offer:

The package on offer for this role includes a salary of circa £80,000 depending on experience, plus participation in an annual bonus scheme and company benefits including pension & holidays.
