Operations Manager - FMCG Manufacturing

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Operations Manager to oversee their manufacturing facility in Glasgow . This critical role will be responsible for optimizing production processes, managing operational budgets, ensuring product quality, and leading a dedicated manufacturing team. You will drive efficiency, implement best practices in lean manufacturing, and ensure the facility meets all safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are met efficiently and safely.
• Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in production, quality, and cost reduction.
• Manage the operational budget, controlling costs and ensuring profitability.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors and staff.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in operations management within a FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of successfully managing production processes and driving operational excellence.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and quality management systems.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
