Our client is looking for a highly competent Operations Manager specialising in logistics and supply chain in Norwich . This position is key to optimising the flow of goods, managing warehousing operations, and ensuring efficient transportation networks. You will lead a dedicated logistics team, implement best practices, and drive improvements in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of logistics operations, including warehousing, inventory, and transportation.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the supply chain.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the logistics team, fostering a culture of performance and safety.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, health and safety standards, and customs requirements.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and operational costs.
Requirements
- Significant experience in logistics and supply chain management , with a proven track record in operations management.
- Strong understanding of warehousing, inventory control, and transportation management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop operational teams.
- Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and data analysis tools.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
